WIFOMA stands for Wire Forest Management Association. It is a registered Community Forest Association working to conserve the Wire Forest and support adjacent communities in Homa Bay County.

Membership is open to community members living within a 5km radius of Wire Forest, including youth, women, and men who are passionate about environmental conservation and sustainable development.

WIFOMA is supported through partnerships with government agencies, development partners, donors, and community contributions.

Our core programs include Environmental Conservation & Climate Change, Water Hygiene & Sanitation (WASH), Education Scholarships, and Sustainable Eco-Tourism & Recreational Activities.

Our activities are centered around the Wire Forest in Kasipul Division, Rachuonyo South District, Homa Bay County, Kenya.

Yes, WIFOMA works closely with the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) in co-managing Wire Forest through a participatory approach.
