Today, we were joined by the Protocol Team from the State Department of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kenya Regional Forest Conservator (RFC) – Nyanza conservancy, Homa Bay County Forest Conservator (CFC), the Station manager – Wire Station, The Mango Tree Orphan Support Trust – Kenya representative and the Members of Wire Forest Management Association – Wifoma CFA at the Official WIFOMA office where we held a consultations in Preparations to Host the President of the Republic of Slovenia H.E Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar . This is going to be a historical moment in the history of Community Forest Association in Homa Bay County and Kenya as a whole have been actively involved in the fight against the effects of Climate change which has become a global crisis. WIFOMA CFA has made a huge impact on the lives of communities living around the forest through various interventions and values chains such as

– Kitchen Gardening
– Fruit Farming

– Energy Saving Jikos
– Bamboo Products
– Eco – Tourism
– Education Scholarship
– Community Scouts

Partnerships and networking with like minded organizations such as The Mango Tree and other key stakeholders has enabled us to impact lives and reduce the push and pull on our Forest. We are excited for this moment and pray for the divine will of God.
