Climate change is no longer a distant threat—it’s a daily reality for communities across Africa. From disappearing forests to erratic weather patterns and dwindling crop yields, the impact is real. At WIFOMA CFA, we believe that the most effective climate solutions begin at the grassroots, driven by education, ecosystem restoration, youth leadership, and sustainable innovation.

An Integrated Approach to Climate Action
Our work is rooted in a deep understanding that climate challenges are interconnected, and therefore, our response must be holistic:

Restoring Our Ecosystems
Through our Rehabilitation Initiative, we’re working to bring life back to degraded landscapes like Wire Forest. With a target of 200,000 trees planted over 10 years, we aim to combat desertification, increase biodiversity, and strengthen carbon sinks. This is complemented by soil and water conservation practices that sustain livelihoods and food systems.

Educating for a Greener Future
We equip communities with climate knowledge through interactive training, workshops, and outreach campaigns. By teaching climate-smart agriculture, renewable energy use, and sustainable farming techniques, we empower youth, women, and local leaders to take charge of their environmental footprint.

Amplifying Youth Voices in Climate Advocacy
Our leadership programs like the County Youth Ambassadors initiative ensure that young people are not only participants but leaders in climate dialogue and policy-making. From engaging in local advocacy to participating in global platforms, our youth are shaping climate strategies with a strong African perspective.

Championing Green Innovation
Through nature-based solutions such as apiculture, nursery development, and school greening, we link environmental sustainability to economic empowerment. We also promote green energy adoption to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and support community-wide transformation.

The Bigger Picture
WIFOMA CFA stands at the intersection of climate resilience, sustainable development, and community empowerment. We know that without addressing the root causes—deforestation, unsustainable agriculture, poor waste management, and lack of awareness—we cannot achieve long-lasting impact.

That’s why we are not just reacting to climate change—we’re strategically responding with long-term, community-driven, and scalable solutions.

Call to Action
The climate crisis affects us all, but solutions are within reach when we work together. Join us—as a partner, volunteer, donor, or advocate—and be part of a movement that’s restoring ecosystems, building knowledge, elevating youth, and powering a greener tomorrow.
