What we track

These are the indicators we report on for each programme. Verified figures are being compiled for our next annual report.

Forest restoration

Hectares of degraded forest restored, and progress toward 50% tree cover across Wire Forest and nearby farms.

Seedlings and planting

Seedlings raised in community nurseries and trees planted on forest, school, community and private land.

Beekeeping and livelihoods

Hives placed with members, farmers trained, and honey produced and processed.

Climate-smart farming

Farmers using practices that raise yields without clearing forest.

Education and WASH

Scholarships awarded, and schools and villages reached with clean water, sanitation and hygiene sessions.

Accountable to our members and partners

WIFOMA is a community forest association registered under the Registrar of Societies of Kenya. It co-manages Wire Forest with the Kenya Forest Service and is governed by an elected Management Committee.

Annual reports and accounts will be published on this page. Until then, partners can request our latest report and governance documents directly.
